We are very proud of our academic track record here at The Grove. Children make great progress in core subjects from their starting points, and we recognise the importance of laying the foundations for future learning.
Here is a summary of our latest published KS1 data, from the academic year 2018 - 2019. As you can see, children here are very successful.
|Reading||Expected Standard, or above||Greater Depth|

The final published performance data is linked to the end of year assessments for children in Reception: do they meet the Early Learning Goals and achieve a Good Level of Development?
The GLD score is linked to attainment in Prime areas of Learning and Literacy and Maths - have a look at our Early Years pages on this website if you want to learn more.
In 2019 85% of children here at The Grove achieved a GLD, compared to 73% in Hertfordshre and 72% nationally.
Whilst performance data enables parents to compare outcomes at different schools it is a very limited measure of the success of a school. However, unless children can read, write and count they may find it hard to access other areas of learning and we know that teaching key skills is a very important part of our job!
