Ofsted & School Performance

Ofsted

'Outstanding' - November 2023

Please take the time to read the Ofsted report below: after a long wait, an inspection team visited The Grove on 7th and 8th November 2023 to conduct a full Section 5 inspection.  Unlike a 'light touch' inspection, this means that they were able to regrade the school if appropriate.  However, I am delighted to say that provision here was graded as outstanding in all areas.  This is quite an achievement under the current framework, and we very proud of what it says about the school.

At The Grove, staff, parents and governors all work tirelessly together for the children, creating a happy place where they can thrive.  This has been recognised by Ofsted, and we are thrilled that our hard work has been validated by them!

Parent View

If you are interested in finding out what our current parents think about the school, you can find out by looking at the results of our Ofsted Parent View Questionnaire, completed for the inspection that took place in November 2023.

We are delighted that parents think so positively of the school.

If a parent has a question or a problem, it is important that they speak to the class teacher or school leadership team about the issue so that we can help.

Ofsted Parent View We encourage our parents to log in and provide feedback with Ofsted on key aspects of school life. Follow the link and have your say!

Performance Data

At The Grove we very proud of the progress and achievements of our pupils.  We work to make sure all children achieve well in core subjects, as we know that well developed skills in reading, writing and maths are key to a child's future success in life.

As you can see from the data below outcomes here are excellent, and compare favourably not only with national data but also with other local schools.

We are particularly pleased with the number of children working beyond age related expectations.

The emphasis we put on core subjects does not impact on the breadth of our curriculum which we value highly.
