Appendix: Key to Teacher Assessment Results at Key Stage 1

The ‘expected standard’ at Key Stage 1 is indicated by the code EXS.

Working Towards the Standard (WTS) indicates a pupil working a little bit below the expected standard. The PKF code represents a pupil working at a lower standard of attainment than WTS.  BLW is the lowest standard of attainment.
